Operating Dates and Times for the
2007 Season
*** Our 40th Anniversary Year! ***
The West Lancashire Light Railway will be open, with steam-hauled
passenger trains in operation:
Every Sunday from 1st April
2007 to 28th October 2007
Good Friday (6th April)
Bank Holiday Mondays (9th
April, 7th May, 28th May, 27th August)
On normal operating Sundays, trains run at approximately 20 minutes
intervals between 12.30 and 5.00. On special occasions, such as gala days,
trains run from 12.30.
Sunday 1st April 2007 - Friendly Engines Day
At least two engines (with friendly faces) in steam; a day for
families with young children.
Sunday 13th May 2007 - Teddy Bears' Day
There are bound to be plenty of surprises down in the woods today!. Bring a bear and travel half fare.
Sunday 1st July 2007 - Utrillas's 100th Birthday
One of our steam locomotives celebrates a very special day.
Saturday 11th August & Sunday 12th August 2007
Gala Weekend & 40th Anniversary
All available locos in steam; other attractions.
Sunday 7th October 2007 - Autumn Steam Gala
At least two locos in steam; diesel locos in operation; demonstration
freight trains.
Sunday 11th November 2007 - BBC Children in Need
(Date to be confirmed)
Two locos in steam. Free train rides. Visitors are invited to
contribute to the BBC Children in Need appeal.
*** SANTA SPECIALS 2007 ***
Sunday 16th, Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd December
2007 - Santa Specials
Children meet Santa and receive a present. Hot drinks, hot dogs,
hot mincepies. Advance booking recommended.
